iphone 4 - Glass case

Glass-iphone

All you iphone geeks prepare to wet yourselves… someone has produced a “glass –transparent” mod for both the front and back panel of the iPhone 4.  I can’t tell if it’s a shell or add-on part – (could be done by using paint striper on the original shell) I haven’t found a production line of these as yet, so I can only presume it’s a prototype.

Seaquence - Go have some fun

Seaquence is an experimental musical petri-dish. Adopting a biological metaphor, Seaquence allows you to create and combine musical lifeforms into unique, dynamic compositions. This is an initial alpha release and still under development.

Seq

Some tips!

  • The 12 blocks under the sequencer represent the scale. Play with different combinations to modify the tonality of your melody.
  • The + and - next to the scale represent the octave of the waveform.
  • The waveform control points that modify the envelope can result in some very unique sound qualities.
  • Click+Drag on the number underneath the waveform to change the waveform length.
  • Mouse-wheel up and down on a creature to change its volume.

Breast Cancer Campaign Gym-a-thon

Fundraisers in Rochdale donned pink outfits this morning (Sunday 24 October 2010) for a gym session to raise money for charity.

Twenty five men and women took part in a two hour “gym-a-thon” at Fitness for Life gym on Rooley Moor Road to raise funds for registered charity Breast Cancer Campaign.

The session ties in with the charity’s “Wear it Pink” day and members wore various items of pink clothing, one man took part in the actives dressed as a panther and the ladies wore pink wigs, hats, tights - one lady even donned a pair of pink wellington boots!

Organiser Lesley Stott was delighted with the event, she said: “We have been doing this for a number of years, everyone here has been touched by breast cancer in one way or another – I lost a friend and my sister-in-law between four and six years ago and Paul Brophy, who also took part, his wife suffered from breast cancer but she is all well now. So we have all been touched a lot.

“This is the fourth time we have done this. We generally raise £1,000 every year for the Breast Cancer Campaign; our next event is a pub crawl.”

The gym participants enjoyed an hour step class and a fun party games fitness class.

Afterwards they unwound with pink food and a raffle. Prizes were awarded to the best dressed male and female.

Summing up the event Ms Stott said: “It has been good fun, we all got a good sweat on but it has been a brilliant day. It is a really good do; I love this month because we have so much going on.”

Winner of the best dressed male went to Rochdale  Web Designer, Jon Pudny, who dressed as a pink Elvis for the event.

Mr Pudny said: “Today went really well. It had been hard trying to find a pink outfit so I ended up going for a fancy dress costume. It has been good fun and it is all for a good cause.

“Thank you to all the girls from Falinge Park High School for the money they gave me, and everyone else I have seen. People can still sponsor me online until the 29 October.”

Those who took part paid £5 for the classes and all of the money raised from today will go to the Breast Cancer Campaign.

The Breast Cancer Campaign uses all wear it pink donations to fund innovative, world-class research throughout the UK and Ireland to understand how breast cancer develops, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure.

The charity currently supports around 106 projects worth £16.3 million in 38 centres across the UK and Ireland.
